Strength in Parenting
As you raise your children, do it in strength. Try to help them be strong enough to think of others and to be able to put others before themselves. But, we must realize that for a real lesson to take place of this magnitude that goes against the current of our culture, it will be tough. Sometimes it's hard to see our children struggle with that. We want to pity them for the hard day they've had or the difficult situation that they are going through. But instead, we should make ourselves strong enough to not lower our expectations and to praise His goodness that He did not give them an easy life that leads them to become self-satisfied, superficial Christians. He is their Loving Creator who orchestrates their circumstances – even the hard ones
I've prayed much to be more like Jesus. (I'm sure you have too.) Recently (about a month ago), after a tough encounter, I was asking God about the situation. He reminded me that even the worldly people can love the lovable people of this world. But, it takes Christ's love to love those that don't give back. So, in His strength, I would like to thank Him for that really tough situation, and encourage you to do the same for yourself and for your child. Train your children in that strength!
