Raising Daughters Of The King

Princesses that bring Honor to their Royal Father

Giving practical tips and encouragement to mommies of girls

A Game PlanDecember 2013

As I’ve mentioned several times before, it is essential, as we try to raise our daughters as the King would have us do, that we walk close and have a personal, genuine relationship with Jesus. HE is our only true and complete source of help and guidance. (If your kids struggle, please remember, that it is not a sign that you are not right with God. It’s just a sign that they are humans — like their parents — who sin and have need of a Savior.)

The reason we need to walk close, is that a close walk is what will give us abundant ife and abundant hope and abundant love. He and His Word are our only true source of wisdom and comfort. We in turn are to share our hope and faith with our children as He leads and guides us to do daily.

  1. Make sure you choose wisely your words to fellow followers. Your life will be a testimony. (Matthew 7:20).
  2. Find faithful friends who will encourage you and hold you accountable.
  3. Allow God (plead with Him) to show you your short comings and misconceptions. Search me oh God and see if there be any wicked way within me. Choose to change your words and thinking to line up with the truth God says about you and your life and your children.
  4. Believe that God is able and will cause you to know Him as more than a rule book, when you seek Him with all your heart. As you seek to live this out, your children will also be blessed with the opportunities to know the Father as their own God as well.
  5. Work hard to find a way to surrender your will to the Father’s. It is a beautiful way to make Him smile and to be drawn close to Him.
  6. Remember that Jesus is faithful. He called you to Himself and to know Him; He will cause it to happen. Your job is to believe, cooperate and obey.
